Kentucky

Kentucky (pronounced k@ntuk-ee), officially known as the Commonwealth of Kentucky, lies in the Southeastern United States. It is one of the states of Upper South. Kentucky borders Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio to the north, West Virginia to the northeast, Virginia to the east, Tennessee to the south, and Missouri to the west. The Ohio River defines its northern border. Frankfort is its capital, and Louisville is its largest city. In 2020, its population was estimated at 4.5 million.
