Ohio

Ohio (officially the State Of Ohio) is a state located in the Midwestern United States. Of the fifty U.S. states, it is the 34th-largest by area. Ohio has a population of almost 11.8 million people, making it the seventh most populous state and tenth most densely populated. Its capital and largest city is Columbus, with the Columbus metro area, Greater Cincinnati, and Greater Cleveland being the largest metropolitan areas. Ohio is bordered to the north by Lake Erie, to the east by Pennsylvania, to the southeast by West Virginia, to the southwest by Kentucky, to the west and northwest, to the west with Indiana, and to the northwest, Michigan. Ohio is known as the “Buckeye State”, after its Ohio Buckeye trees. Ohioans are also called “Buckeyes”. The state flag of Ohio is the only one that does not have a rectangular shape among all the U.S. States.
