Vermont

Vermont is a state in the New England region of the Northeastern United States. Vermont is bordered to the south by Massachusetts, to the east by New Hampshire, to the west by New York, and to the north, it borders the Canadian province of Quebec. Vermont was admitted to the Union as the 14th State in 1791. It is the only New England state that does not border the Atlantic Ocean. According to the U.S. 2020 census, the state’s population is 643,503, making it the second-least populated state in the U.S. behind Wyoming. It is also the nation’s sixth-smallest state in area. The state capital Montpelier has the lowest population of any state capital in the U.S. Burlington is the state’s most populous city.
